Congratulations to our very own Simone Marquis, who has just been promoted to Managing Director of The Unmistakables.
Having previously led senior talent, diversity and leadership positions at Marks & Spencer, BT and EE, she has been instrumental in delivering our culture and client base since officially joining the inclusion consultancy in March 2021 as Culture & Inclusion Director.
Late last year Simone was named in 2021’s HR Most Influential rankings. Now, as we begin a new year, she will oversee the running of the business, helping to further our client partners’ ambitions around inclusion, and maintaining The Unmistakables’ purpose to accelerate inclusion.
Bringing senior talent, leadership and HR experience to the business, Simone has already expanded the team, delivering on inclusive culture change within organisations.
CEO, Asad Dhunna, said of the promotion: “Simone’s experience, tenacity and motivating team style has enabled us to quickly grow by providing a holistic approach based on our trademarked inside out inclusion framework. She helps instil leaders and their teams with the cultural confidence and intelligence they need to create transformative belonging, inclusion and anti-racism work across their organisations.
“Where we began as a marcomms consultancy, the last couple of years have made it clear to see that inclusion can not operate in an external bubble of communications - organisations need to ensure they are authentically building inclusive cultures and working environments internally. In short, they need to ‘walk the talk’.”
Our leadership team is led by founder & CEO, Asad Dhunna, and includes: Simone Harvey, Inclusive Campaigns Director, leading inclusive brand and communications campaigns; Ruth Hoyal, Insights & Strategy Director, bringing inclusive insights to organisations to transform their D&I approach through data and intelligence; and Shilpa Saul, Client Services Director, leading business operations and client success.
In response to both changing home life needs and growing business opportunities, our former Managing Partner Ben Brooks-Dutton will also step in a new role as Growth Director. This will see him working on the presence and scale of the consultancy as it continues to support more organisations in more countries.
We would like to wish you all a happy new year, as well as wishing Simone Eid Milad Majid for Coptic Christmas Day this Friday.
