Despora Creative Commons License

Despora is a celebration of being British Desi, it comes after years of systemic under-representation of us, not only in stock imagery but in the mainstream creative industry in general. Over and over again we hear about the lack of role models, of visible representation and numerous accounts of appropriation and tokenism. We wanted to not only fill this gap but actually create a community of ‘Despora’ people that lives beyond these static picture.

Using real people, was of utmost importance for The Unmistakables, and we have employed a no-body photoshop philosophy when creating and editing these pictures. We ask you to not re-touch the editing of any images, and maintain our no-photoshop policy in your use of these images. All the pictures included in this 2019 photoshoot are licensed under a Creative Commons License, with required Attribution, and No Derivatives 4.0. This means you can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, for any purpose, even commercially. However you must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material. You are not permitted to resell these photos, re-post on other stock photo website/services, or use these photos to degrade or insult its subjects.
