1-2-1 Inclusive Leadership Coaching

For senior leaders seeking a safe space to learn and to ask questions about DEI that makes them more effective and impactful.

We provide 1-2-1 leadership coaching that applies the principles of Cultural Intelligence and provides senior leaders with increased knowledge as well as practical and tangible tools they can apply to how they lead their businesses.

What is Inclusive Leadership?

The expectations of a changing and multi-generational workforce are forever changing. Leaders of businesses and brands today need to demonstrate a combination of empathy, humility, openness and cultural intelligence that allows them to guide people of all kinds around the world.

Using science-based models, we work with senior leaders on a 1-2-1 basis to provide them the space and opportunity to learn and develop their skills for inclusive leadership.

What are the components of Inclusive leadership Coaching?

  • Self-awareness: Understanding one's own biases, privilege, and cultural background.

  • Empathy and active listening: Developing empathy for others' experiences and actively listening to diverse perspectives.

  • Inclusive decision-making: Engaging diverse voices in decision-making processes and considering the impact on all stakeholders.

  • Conflict resolution and allyship: Building skills to address and resolve conflicts in a fair and respectful manner, and advocating for marginalised colleagues.

  • Creating a culture of inclusion: Implementing strategies to foster inclusivity and belonging within teams and the broader organisation.

What are the benefits of our Inclusive Leadership Coaching?

  • Improved employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Enhanced team collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

  • Increased productivity and performance.

Our 1-2-1 Inclusive Leadership Coaching Process

How we did this for Unilever

We worked closely with Nitin Paranjpe, Chief Human Resources Officer at Unilever, on a programme of 1-2-1 coaching to help him lead more inclusively.

Through a personal learning needs assessment, followed by a bespoke coaching curriculum, we guided him through learning on the major areas of DEI, including race & ethnicity, socio-economics and disability. Across nine sessions we brought in contributors to share lived experience and professional expertise, which was followed by a key learnings pack to embed the learnings.

‘’The Unmistakables helped me on my journey of being an inclusive leader. As experts in ED&I, they understood the areas I wanted to explore and developed an engaging programme of learning that allowed me to evolve my definition of inclusion.

“They brought in a variety of experts, activists and advocates who helped me to see things differently across a number of subjects. They exposed me to lived experience and professional expertise, always within a safe environment, and have left me feeling more culturally confident inside and outside Unilever.’’
