We’re looking for an unmistakable Inclusive Cultures Consultant

Diversity & inclusion isn’t a ‘nice to have’ at The Unmistakables, it’s at the core of our business. We are a consultancy that accelerates inclusion to create cultures and communities where everyone can belong and thrive. We do this by offering a distinctly different approach: inside out inclusion that builds cultural confidence.

We deliver three things:

  • Inclusive cultures: creating cultures where everyone belongs and can have a voice

  • Inside outsights: developing evidence-based insight to transform organisations & campaigns

  • Inclusive planning: connecting and resonating with more audiences, opening up more creative opportunities

As a business we proactively discourage siloed working therefore consultants ‘major’ in at least one of our focus areas and ‘minor’ in another. A consultant with a focus on inclusive cultures will have an understanding of HR, people, organisational development and change. A consultant with a focus on inside outsights will have an understanding of qualitative and/or quantitative research. A consultant with a focus on inclusive planning will have an understanding of branding, marketing and / or communications.

We have different Consultant levels to allow for progression and growth. At this time, we are looking for mid to senior level Consultants with a focus on Inclusive Cultures:

Level 3 Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and leading larger projects at The Unmistakables as part of a wider consultant team

  • Becoming a trusted point of contact for clients, providing high quality consultancy and bringing in colleagues to inform project thinking where necessary

  • Overseeing an internal responsibility or with an area of ownership within the team

  • Supporting on projects specific to: Inclusive Cultures - e.g. briefing suppliers, Associates, and overseeing the quality control

Key Deliverables

  • End to end project ownership of medium to large sized projects, bringing in other expertise as needed to fulfil on client needs

  • Line management of Associates and growing junior members of the team

  • Identifying and owning an area of internal responsibility

  • Early new business development thinking - spotting opportunities for growth and working with the wider team to expand projects

  • Continuous personal learning and development within the inclusive cultures space, understanding and integrating latest thought leadership to maintain currency and credibility and an Unmistakable point of view

  • Sharing learning and best practice with the wider team


  • HR, People & Organisational Change Expertise: bringing specific experience and expertise to understand and diagnose client needs and to recommend and lead on appropriate people interventions, understanding typical end to end people processes

  • Communications: owning presentations from start to finish with limited input from the team, strong writing skills requiring minimal proof and review, active listening to understand the team and client and spotting opportunities for growth, workshop facilitation from start to finish with limited senior input required

  • Leadership: growing ability to manage smaller clients single-handedly, ability to manage requests from different areas of the organisation, taking on more complicated client relationships with the support of the team

  • People management: line management and mentoring of Associates, coaching level 1 consultants

  • Analytical & critical thinking: ability to undertake more advanced research and analytics, thorough research and setting briefs for Associates, ability to transform insight into a strategy, proactively solve problems and spot them before they arrive

  • Creativity: design skills and the ability to format presentations, developing creative thinking

  • Project management: strong ability to organise projects and oversee deliverables

  • Connectivity: socially and culturally curious to what’s going on in the world and what it means for businesses and society; a view on trends and the latest news; the ability to translate this to insights and actions for clients and the wider team
