The Culture & Inclusion Director will take ownership of client engagements that sit within the ‘inside’ part of our inside out inclusion model, working with a small team of Consultants to design and deliver innovative and best practice solutions that help organisations to embed ED&I.


This will include drawing from an Unmistakable suite of products and services as well as innovating where needed to develop scalable services.


The current Inclusive Cultures services include:

  • Leadership & Strategy - working with leaders and People/ HR teams to create business relevant ED&I strategies

  • Learning & Unlearning - designing and implementing training solutions to deliver transformative and educational learning experiences

  • People & Culture - interrogating the employee lifecycle and designing inclusive experiences for colleagues from attraction to exit

  • Data & Measurement - designing and delivering colleague listening tools to generate organisational ED&I insights

The culture & inclusion director reports into the managing director of The Unmistakables, working together to fulfil our financial goals and meet our business strategy. The role is one of continual growth and progression: as a growing business all senior team members are currently very much ‘in the work’ and this role is as ‘hands on’ as it is strategic.


As a senior representative of The Unmistakables, the culture & inclusion director will be expected to develop credible relationships with client partners as well as across the team, bringing knowledge and expertise to the design of proposals as well as to project management and delivery.


We require an culture & inclusion director within The Unmistakables’ who is accountable for:

  • Building and leading the inclusive cultures services

  • Developing The Unmistakables team to be able to deliver inclusive cultures services

  • Building and sustaining relationships at a senior level and unlocking new opportunities for growth

  • Delivering excellent client experiences

  • Working across the inside out inclusion model to feed client opportunities through to Inclusive Campaigns and Insights

  • Innovating to maintain the competitive edge of the offering and future-proofing as the blend of home working and office working shifts for us and our clients

  • Collaborating with the senior leadership team on new business opportunities and taking ownership of the scoping, budget tracking and client handling once a new client is won

  • Understanding our competitive position in the marketing and identifying opportunities for growth and development

Key deliverables:

  • Client retention and organic revenue growth - targets will be aligned with overall company objectives

  • High performing inclusive cultures team

  • High level of collaboration across all areas of the business to ensure the best outcomes for clients

Capabilities:

  • ED&I expertise: detailed knowledge of current best practice in the ED&I field gained from operating as an in-house ED&I practitioner; proven ability in converting ED&I concepts into tangible strategies and actions

  • HR/ People expertise: experience of working within HR structures with detailed understanding of working practices across the HR portfolio; understanding of the key organisational levers that can be pulled in order to create inclusive and equitable cultures; experience of design and implementation of HR projects, either in an HR practitioner capacity or as a Consultant delivering HR initiatives

  • Leadership: experience of leading high performing teams, and being a point of contact for difficult conversations; team handling; team recruitment; business development; future planning and strategic management

  • People management: a solid understanding of different cultures and ability to get the best out of people; mentoring and managing performance

  • Analytical & critical thinking: an ability to think laterally to solve new problems and find opportunities within them; strategic alignment with the Insights function; strategic development

  • Communications: strong cultural confidence and intelligence that helps to communicate with stakeholders of all levels; strong experience in communicating with HR/ People and Leadership teams; workshop design and facilitation; collaborative working

  • Creativity: creative development and the ability to draw in the team to think about creative solutions

  • Project management: ability to plan and execute on projects and programmes; manage multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Connectivity: an integrated team member - not someone who sets siloes or divided ways of work; demonstrates the motivation to stay attuned to the evolving inclusion landscape

  • Financial management - alignment with the leadership and finance teams to deliver a growing and profitable business
