Embedding inclusion and creating relevance for StudioCanal

We build a strategic action plan focused on inclusion with clear and tangible outcomes. We identified the film company’s opportunity to take a leadership role and diversify its audiences, approaches and content via new platforms.

The challenge

StudioCanal - the French film and television production company - came to us in search of a strategic partner to guide them in embedding inclusivity into their systems and processes in search of audience growth


Our response

Through a robust strategy development programme, we surfaced the voice of 75% of the workforce, bringing to light the wants and needs through a people-first approach. We harnessed these voices to develop a strategic plan to diversify their approach and content.

  • An inside out diagnostic including strategy review, inclusion survey, 15+ leadership interviews and listening sessions with 35 colleagues

  • Assessment of key opportunities for the leaders and the organisation

  • Key action plan with priorities

Surfaced colleague voice in service of change - Alignment at leadership levels for further growth

The team used this data to build out the strategic DEI action plan with StudioCanal’s leadership, refining all recommendations and opportunities into a roadmap for the future of the organisation. Through our inside out inclusion approach, we were able to connect all key stakeholders, driving ideas to help build a more inclusive future for both internal and external audiences.
